Mary Knudsen

Ms. Mary Frances Knudsen grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois. She attended St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental and General Music Education. Ms. Knudsen graduated May of 2008 so this is her seventh year of teaching band. She is very excited and is looking forward to the many musical experiences in store for her this year. Her primary instrument is clarinet but, she can play all of the band instruments and especially likes trumpet. She also enjoyed playing bass clarinet in her college’s Wind Ensemble and the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra. Her proudest musical moment was in college going on tour to Austria/Hungary and performing “Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna” with her Wind Ensemble on the streets of Vienna.
Ms. Knudsen’s enjoys listening to all kinds of music. Some of her favorite musicians/bands include, Beethoven, The Beatles, Queen, ELO, Frigg, Coldplay, Vaughan Williams, The Shins and many more. In her free time, Ms. Knudsen loves to be outside, travel, play sports, sing and watch good movies.
